Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters

A moderate to strong offshore flow will continue today as high pressure builds into the northwest Gulf of Mexico behind a cold front. Patchy light rain will be possible today mainly south of Rockport. The frontal boundary will retreat northwest into the coastal waters as a coastal trough on Saturday with a moderate onshore flow developing by afternoon. The onshore flow will persist into Monday. A weak backdoor cold front will result in a brief northeast wind late Monday and early Tuesday.

Saturday East wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 6 feet. A slight chance of light rain.
Saturday Night Southeast wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 6 feet. A slight chance of showers.
Sunday And Sunday Night Southeast wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet. A chance of showers...then a slight chance of showers.
