Through 2pm...isolated to scattered showers are pushing east across the eastern portions of Highway 82 towards Starkville and Columbus. Farther west...a large rain shield is nosing into southeast Arkansas...northeast Louisiana...and the Delta Region of Mississippi. This larger area of rain is moving towards the east southeast. Rainfall amounts in the east will be light with only a few to 5 hundredths of an inch per hour. Affected areas will farther west will be between a tenth and quarter of an inch per hour. Rain and embedded thunderstorms will be on the increase through the afternoon hours for areas north of I-20 and west of I-55.
