Weather Summary

Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, May 16, 2008. A rather unsettled weather pattern will persist through the continent Friday.

A low pressure system off the west coast of France will linger in that general area throughout the day. It will pull moist air northward into Spain and France. This moisture will produce widespread rain in eastern Spain and France.

Another low pressure system will move gradually eastward from the Scandinavian Peninsula to the Baltic States. Because this low will be fairly cold, some snow will fall in northern Norway and Sweden, while rain showers will develop in the Gulf of Finland area in the afternoon and evening.

Elsewhere, generally showery weather is anticipated through the heart of the continent from Belgium through Poland.

Italy, the Adriatic countries, and the United Kingdom will remain dry.

Much of the continent will remain mild, while the Scandinavian Peninsula will be cold.

London will rise into the lower 60s(F)/mid-10s(C), while Paris will see temperatures in the upper 60s(F)/lower 20s(C). Moscow will rise into the upper 50s(F)/mid-10s(C).
