... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 3 am Tuesday to
9 am CST Wednesday...
* timing... light snow will begin late tonight or Tuesday morning
before becoming heavy at times by Tuesday afternoon. Moderate
to heavy snow will continue into Tuesday night... then
gradually taper off Wednesday morning.
* Main impact... dangerous travel due to snow packed roads and
low visibility with blowing and drifting snow.
* Accumulations... snow accumulations from 6 to 9 inches or more
* Winds... north or northwest winds from 15 to 30 mph could cause
considerable blowing and drifting snow... especially from late
Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow means that
significant amounts of snow and blowing snow are expected.
Visibilities will likely be reduced to less than half a mile at
times. This will make travel dangerous.
